97-03 and 04+ 3800 catbacks and manifolds are fully interchangeable. Only differences are a couple bolt holes (for extraneous heatshields IIRC) in the mani's and one hanger near the second turn in the catback. Downpipes are different, but I imagine could be swapped also.

I'd be surprised if there still weren't some ported manifolds floating around here.

I have my stock downpipe from my GTP at my house in Syracuse and I'm going home this weekend. Are you saying that will fit his car Brian? Let me know if you want it and we could possibly do a trade plus cash on the P-log. Can I get some info on that?

Is the DP catless (assume stainless)? Either way I still have my stock 04 in my garage and I'll trade.

I also have the manifolds. I have ported on the car.

I'm intrested in a PLOG, is it the stainless version?

I'm going on a trip so if you wanted the front ported that would have to wait until I return.

How's "front ported/stock downpipe/cash" for your "PLOG/ZZP downpipe" sound?

as long as your dp doesn't have the u bend . it sounds like a deal.. the plog is ceramic coated and the dp is a 3" mild steel . how long before your back because i really need to get this car in the shop?

I'm saying that everything before and after the downpipe will interchange (noting that one hanger location is different on the catback). I am speculating that the downpipe could be swapped as well. I have not had a 97-03 dp (which has a u-bend as previously stated--the 04+ do not) on my car. YMMV

Yeah no u-bend, my stuff was all on/for a previous generation grand prix, and the stock downpipe's for 04+ don't have a u-bend in them. Is mild steel "stainless"?

I'm coming back the 31st or the 1st.

had a look at my stock downpipe, sorry to say the flange on the right side has seen better days, when it was removed the torching didn't do it any favors and the hole is in rough shape. Didn't notice it before. Looks like I'll just use that for catalytic recycling Razz

How my 04 had so many leaves cramed in and such a rusty exhaust I will never know...oh wait Buffalo...
