if the egr coats the i/c core, wouldn't that lower the heat transfer to the coolant therefore give you less cooling efficiency which leads to warmer intake air which gives worse mpg? so theoretically no egr on an i/c'd system would be beneficial. any thoughts on this?

WOT MPG is not what's in question.

The I/C is working at cruise, but not enough to make a difference...and if i'm not mistaken, warmer IAT is better milage. Just like you lose milage cooling off your thermostat and/or cooler plugs

Think about it...cooler air = denser air = needs more fuel to maintain a set A/F.

Do you want more power or better fuel economy?

You got a lot of things going against you.

I think the EGR is good for at least a full MPG.

104s are cold..but I mean..you need them.

g/l...interesting stuff.

yuppers you are right. It will be interesting to see what happens. I travel 60 miles a day, 95% is highway so any increase should show itself after a tank or two.

I havent done shit yet but, Im doing 104's, 180 t stat, clean filter, ALOT of tuning. I did the math again...this tank of gas I calulated roughly 24~26mpg. not too shabby for having something fucked up in my tune....(my car rev's to 2000rpms, dies down to 400rpms, repeats at initial start-up till I put it in gear) ....and my WOT A/F is in the friggen 12's but, hot damn I only get 2-3degrees of KR with 18 degrees adv. Wee HOO
