With regards to the Summer Picnic thread...
Please post here with what you can provide for the picnic.

Things that will be provided:
Paper plates, napkins, paper towels, plasticware, garbage bags, cups, grill, charcoal and the usual pyromania, ketchup, mustard, Red Hot, relish. A second grill might be helpful depending on the turnout if someone else might be willing to bring one.

Things we'll need for 33-38 people:
Soda, pop, hamburgers, hot dogs, anything else to throw on the grill(s), rolls, chips, dips, salads, desserts.
Frisbee, football, lawn darts, or other family friendly entertainment.
Bring a seat for yourself.

Soda/Pop - John C (studderin)
Juice/Iced Tea/etc - Larry
Water - John C (lawnboy)
Hamburgers - Jonathan; Mike B
Hot dogs - Joe V; Jonathan; Dave P; Ed G
Brats/Sausages - Jonathan; Brian R
Rolls - Joe V (hot dog); Brian R (burg&dog); Ed G (hot dog); Dave P (hot dog)
Ziti - Dave P's +1's mom
Salads - Keith (mac, potato); Brian R (pasta)
Beans - Jerry
Chips/Dips/Snacks - Mike G; Larry
Desserts - Shawn
Table(s) - Jerry

i'll get some charcoal at lowes w/ discount, let me know what you prefer and how much... I can pick up a few cases of agua, too, I think they come to like $3.50 this week. Lemme know if there's anything else you could use from there... Power saw, cordless drill? Get your orders in!

I suck at bringing anything.....I'd gladly bring money though to disperse amoung anyones food I eat. OR, I can smack the ol lady around and make her make a whole batch of sumpin you guys want. Rice Crispy Treats, brownies, cake, maybe a dip (besides me smart ass's), a salad. Lemmie know, I'll tell her what you guys "suggest."

We should be good with charcoal thanks, but bottled water might be good.

Any of the above. Hopefully it will be a nice day though--RCTs might not work so well in the heat.

If someone is bringing bottles of water, I'll bring iced tea or something like that. I'll bring pretzels, cookies too. And a few garbage bags.

Anyone have a table or two that's easy to bring? With the food and cooking, we are usually short on table space.

I have a 6' round table that folds up. I think it'll fit in the trunk with the seats folded. So for me, a table and probably baked beans or some of the sort.

This looks like it will be an awesome turn out.
That said, I think we'll definitely need another grill (any size) if someone can bring one. Also, as Larry said, table space is usually a premium even with the one or two picnic tables John C and his Dad procure. Jerry, that table should be helpful, but if anyone has a second folding table they could bring that would be great, too.


The more people bringing stuff, the less individuals spend, and the greater chance we will have an appropriate amount of food for the number of people who show. Wink
