Found a used grey one down in Ohio for 19k with 14,100 miles on it As long as this kid comes through with buying the GTX, I will probably be taking a flight down there the Friday morning after X-mas to pick it up and bring it home

Careful with Ohio cars, we bought one and the salt mixure they use eats the cars quicker. |

Hmm, I was not aware of that. Maybe I'll crawl under it this summer and give it a good cleaning and perhaps an undercoating. This is going to be something I keep for a long time, so its gotta last for me. Thanks for the info |

The car we bought was undercoated but was rusting up along the firewall and behind the rear bumber. I didn;t notice it until I was changing the fuel filter and doing plugs. I was like WTF is this shit, one of my friends from Cleveland was telling me about how they use some brine solution on teh roads and it eats cars worse than salt. |

RustCop is something to possibly help that, if you're driving it year round. They actually spray it inside your body panels to repel the moisture from within. We just had it done for my mom's 2009 Impala. They warranty the work lifetime if you get it within 1yr of production date, or for 5yrs if it's within 3yrs of production.
Anyone have long-term experience with this? My dad's been doing it on the NYS DOT trucks for a couple years, I guess, and says it works alright, and that's on the trucks directly dealing with the salt.

Welp, its gone, and for a lot less than I wanted, but he was the first one to offer cash and take the car right now. Came all the way from lower east PA too, 7 hour drive to get here, so he was definitely serious lol. Even more tragic is its going to his girlfriend as a surprise Christmas gift, I guess shes in to black GP's. Hopefully it gets treated well. Hes a mechanic at a Pontiac dealership so Im assuming it will. As long as they dont break up or anything Whatever, Im just happy the G8 has the garage now |

$2500, same I paid for it from you, and the only money I put in to it was a new battery and a new Delco o2 sensor. So I didnt really lose money on the deal I guess. I just didnt want to get any less than $3k for it to help me pay off some stuff. But whatever, I got rid of a loan payment before it came around again and before the G8 payment came around. I was just desperate to get rid of it and he was the first serious offer |

Eh it ran fine for me with the exception of a misfire that never really bothered me and the lean code I was too lazy to diagnose. I think what Matt meant was that being a mechanic, this kid will probably find more stuff than I would even think to find |
