Old-school tube-style Sony TV. Silver case. Works perfectly last time I had it turn on (about a year ago). 36". Weighs 300 lbs, literally.

My father has that TV. It's a very nice unit for its age. All the weight is in the screen though. It's a bitch to lift and move around. |

Indeed. I liked it just fine (and still do, aside from the footprint and weight). It's just that I finally got into the 21st century and got an LCD. That, and I'm tired of hauling this thing around every time I move.
The glass on this TV is flat. Before LCD/Plasma was affordable, this TV was where it was at. I paid like $1400 for it in 2002 or 2003, plus another $250 for the stand (had to be able to hold the heavy-ass TV). |
