Hey guys and gals............Im new to this board but not new to the GP at all. My 1st aquired GP was a black on black 1978 SJ t-top with stocker 301........which was quickly replaced with a 400 CI SB pontiac built to the hilt. To make a long story short......., the car ended up wrapped around a tele pole after hydroplaneing at 75 MPH. Lucky to still be here! Ive always told myself that there would come a day that I would aquire yet another black brute...........well, that day has come. She's a couple decades newer than my last true love, but we all lust for the younger chic's huh? LOL Its a 98 GTP in very good condition for a NY car. (minor rot under rocker molding) Im in the process of converting her to a GTX (clone). These stock SC'ed 3800's are pretty freaking impressive for a small 6 banger! And so much more can be done with em. Im Also in the process of SC'ing a saturn SL2......but them plans are gonna be delayed since I bought the GTP. Well........just thought id quickly intro myself to the community. Oh, and if anyone ever needs ANY type of welding or fabrication work, give me a shout. Im a certified ASME welder with 20 years exp ....... I can weld anything X-RAY quality from titanium to magnesium to copper nickel and everything in between. Cheers! Cool

Titanium, you say?

Hello Ti Bypass mod... tee hee....

Welcome, there's a lot of information and a whole lot more BS.

GP owners are in the minority now...all but one of us used to have one, though...

Welcome Dan!
And not all of us have sold our Grand Prixs as this photo of my collection this summer shows. The Firebird has a .060 over 455 in it, and the block is the same size as the old 326, all Pontiac V8 motors of that era were big blocks, and 90 degree vs. Chevy 60 degree.

Of course Pontiac produced a 400. But it was not small block or big block, it was just "block"
