Hey Matt, how does your car run with that big of a cam in it? I was thinking about camming the camaro, but a lot of LS1 cars run like complete crap even after they are tuned. AKA how good does NEP do for tuning? _________________ 1998 Monte Carlo Z34 - 12.94@107.71 Street tires (Retired)

It runs fine but keeping in mind it has a pretty big cam in it.
If you want something a little milder, the SS-HT is a great cam as well.
Mike has tuned all my cars. I trust him. After all they did build a TT C5 z06 that made like 1040 rwhp?? |

I understand Mike can tune a car to make great power at WOT, but what I am most worried about is part/mid throttle. From what I have heard, he tunes for WOT, and your car still runs like crap when you are just driving it around town.
Anyway I am pretty sure I have the specs of a custom cam picked out, but just for the heck of it, who makes the SS-HT? NEP? |

Cam spec play a big role into this. Most people dont take all drivetrain factors into account when they order a cam. IE: Rear gears, stall, converter, weight of vehicle etc. These all play into what cam you'll be happy with.
Another issue is how they tune the car, even a 3800 dyno tune can suck balls. Drive it, tune it, drive it, tune it.......mix and repeat the recipe.
BTW I have an EGR valve sitting in my gargae if you want it. |

Just looked it up on their site. That cam is actually VERY similar to the cam I am looking into getting. I just want CC's XE-R lobes and tweak the cam a little bit as well so that it has the powerband I want, and go from there. Should be a great daily-able cam that makes north of 400whp with the other mods as well, as well as being very torquey. |
