I wonder how a bike hooks up to their dyno.

eh.... if the weather is decent, I'll ride it out and chat with him.
But it ain't a turbo hyabusa, it won't be creating 300+ hp. Just a plain old sport-tourer, barely making half the power of a lightly modded GTP. |

Hey guys. It looks like we're going to have an excellent turnout.
Is everyone just taking pulls, or do some of you have software/hardware to tune maps and flash your PCMs? If so, I need to know how many.
My dyno is capable of running bikes, but I haven't had anyone come down to do it yet. That's something I would do on another day when we have a bunch of time to try different mounting techniques.
-Mike
edit: Someone asked for confirmation of the time/place. It is 10AM til we're done (within reason) on Sunday, June 12th. Doing 3 pulls on a dozen cars in one day is no problem at all. |

Good enough. I will officially spectate (if the weather is decent). Thanks for the info (and the honesty)! |

Mike, what other kind of work so you do? Specifically, do you do custom exhaust work? _________________ 1998 Silvermist GTP Coupe

I don't do it in house at this time, but I work with the shop 20 feet from me which does. Let me know what you're considering getting made and I'll get a quote. |

I will be brinnging my tuner and will hopefully be able to make some changes with a little help from the club members. I really need to figure out what is wrong with my car _________________ Sgt at Arms - Council of Elders

OK. Just to be clear, the rate for time on the dyno and the 3 pull special are two different things. If you're taking three pulls to get a solid number, the rates are posted (50 without o2 and 55 with sniffer). As mentioned, you guys will get 10% off those prices for this dyno day.
If you're doing any tuning this takes time between the pulls and you will be charged by the time used on the dyno including loading/strapping/attaching sensors/removal. I only charge to the minute. I do not round up to the next hour as many shops do.
For those being charged by time my REGULAR rates are:
100 - 1st hour
75 - 2nd hour
50 - 3rd hour and beyond
For this dyno day I will start you at the 2nd hour rate of $75 instead of $100.
Those who want their cars tuned will be scheduled at the end of the day to make sure everyone who only wants pulls gets their car done. Then we'll run those who want tuning.

That map is WRONG. Please edit your post and remove it so nobody gets confused. Here is a correct map:
As you can see were'e right off route 400 on Transit Rd.
From Rochester/Syracuse take the 90 west and then the route 78 exit. Route 78 is transit rd. Just follow it down to our shop. Make a right at the big black mailbox with white numbers "2756" on it. If you hit route 400, you went a tenth of a mile or so too far. Just turn around and you'll find us.
From Buffalo take the 90 to route 400. Take the Transit rd. NORTH exit. Go through one light, up the hill, and make a left at the big black mailbox with white numbers "2756" on it.
We're in an industrial park so you'll only see the mailbox from the road. Pull down the driveway and we're in the tan building on the right.
