|
I have a complete Chevy 327 and a turbo 350 transmission for sale. The engine/transmission were in my 69 TA last year, replaced this year with bored 455 and turbo 400.
327 ran super strong and smooth, except for the slight idel roughness from the cam. Sounded mean. It was a street performance build using a steel crank, mid level cam, Eldebrock Performer intack and new Eldebrock carburator. Also has the ribbed alum. Eldebrock valve covers and air cleaner. Has a mid 80's serpintein belt Altenator/power steering/ water pump set up, kinda trick they way they did it. 4 tube headers. Not sure of the pistons, cam etc Brands or specs, but it has about 8-10 k miles on it. Great oil presure and no oil use or leaks.
Comes with a rebuilt turbo 350 3 speed auto transmission and torque converter with aprox 3-4 k miles on it. Was a chain auto parts store transmission.
Motor/Transmission nice looking, motor chevy orange and transmission painted gray.
Full ready to drop in setup, $1500 complete! _________________ 2001 Silver GTP coup 11.880@116.17 Fun Driver

Matt, I think if the weather is like last year for the picnic, then the 69 convertible will be the ride, all 462 Pontaic cubes pulling that little bird around But if it has any if e ness to it, I will bring the 231 cube 01GTP, only half the motor
Shawn, I never took the vert to the track and I only put about 1500 miles on it last year. I did get in contact with the guy who put the car togeather, and he new the mileage when the motor went in. H e had it coupled to a 5 speed that he got out of the late 80's camaro that he got the alt,PS and WP serp set up off. But the guy I got it from in Georgia changed to the auto for some reason

Yes the 238 was a fat finger move, not a bored block. 231 it is. I fixed it thanks
I was told the 327 has a forged steel crank, so I believe it to be ,and have no reason to doubt the guy as I did not buy it from him, but from the guy he sold the car to. |

The engine was built with Vortech heads, it was ment to run on unleaded gas. I ran premium but was told midlevel would be OK in it. Also has a GM HEI distrubuter setup on it. |

Damn it....I cant stay away from the damn chev sb's. lmao.
It almost makes me want to do yet another swap into my wagon.
I'd be tempted to pull out the 400sb for this sweet lil gem.
I'm gonna pass the word to a few of the ol' school guys I know.
Hell, maybe we could go parts on it...I want some Vortec heads, and trans for my 400.
If you'd like me to pass on your number....you can PM me. One of these guys will probably want it. |

Shawn, I am hoping to get some pictures posted of this combo next week, it's at my buddies shop right now. It's not only is a very sweet running 327 but pretty good looking also. I only hope the 462 runs as good, but with that Big cube Pontiac punch. When I get it home, probably next week, I will be putting it in the paper's classified and on E'bay.
I don't think you were at last years club picnic at Letchworth but if you were then you heard it run, esp. when I left for home |

I can imagine what it sounded like....I've been around sbc and poncho engines alot longer than the 3800s. I have a friend with a chevelle that maybe interested in having a engine to match his original badges. |
